Resume Workshops


When: Tuesday, September 1 at 1:00pm - 5:00 pm; Wednesday, September 2 at 1:30pm - 5:30 pm

Where: SHPE Office (1st floor Engineering Hall)

Come get your resume reviewed by the SHPE Executive Board! We've had a lot of experience, and we are ready to share it with you! Drop by with your resume, questions about the career fair, how to handle interviews, and anything else you can think of! If you would like to do a mock interview, please contact Sara Rothe to schedule an appointment. Also, if you cannot attend either of the scheduled times, but would still like to get your resume reviewed, feel free to contact Sara to set up an appointment!


SHPE General Body Meeting


When: Thursday, September 3 at 6:00pm

Where: Materials Science and Engineering Building Rm 100

Come join us at our first General Body Meeting to learn how you can be involved in SHPE. The executive board will introduce themselves and showcase the committees and events we have planned this year, and how you can get involved! The meeting will be held on Thursday, September 3rd at 6:00pm in MSEB 100. Food will be provided!


2015-16 SHPE|UIUC Executive Board Elections


Here is a list of positions as well as the individuals nominated for them. If you wish to be nominated for a position or removed from one, please email me. Additionally, you will also find the application for the SHPE|UIUC Executive Board. The application is to be completed by an engineering dean (in 206EH), or other appropriate dean if you happen to be in a different college or advisor. Freshmen running for Officer positions will have to get approval from Dean Favila. These forms are to be turned in to the President's drawer by 5PM on Friday, April 10th. Failure to do so will result in removal of candidacy.

If you wish to run for an executive board position that you were not nominated for, you can ask someone from the Executive Board to support your nomination and have them contact me to add you to the list.

Desire to run will require national member status. Officer positions will have a speech limit of two minutes and chair positions will have a limit of one minute. Suggested attire for candidates is business formal.

Elections will be held on Sunday, April 12th at 4PM in EH106BX. You must be a national registered member to vote or run for a position.

Sign Up For Pen Pals!!


Hey guys! The Pen Pal Program at A.O. Marshall Elementary School is happening again this year and it's expanding! We'll be writing the 1st graders from last year(the 2nd graders this year) and the new batch of 1st graders from this year! It really doesn't require a lot of time or effort but you wouldn't believe the impact we make on these kids lives, so please sign up here!
